Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of McLennan County Court Docket. By using any part of the website, a visitor agrees to them. Anyone who does not agree should discontinue use.

1. What This Website Is

McLennan County Court Docket is a privately operated reference resource. It is not part of the McLennan County District Court, District Clerk, County Clerk, re:SearchTX, or any Texas government body. It explains how the public may locate docket information and identifies official custodians, but it does not operate a court system.

2. Informational Use Only

All content is supplied for general information. It does not create an attorney-client relationship or replace a clerk’s confirmation. Before relying on a date, status, fee, filing rule, or procedure, verify it with the District Clerk, County Clerk, responsible court, or other official source.

3. Rules for Using This Site

Visitors agree not to:

  • Use the website for an unlawful act
  • Try to bypass, disable, or disrupt security controls
  • Use automated means to scrape or overload the service
  • Misrepresent affiliation with this resource or a court
  • Submit malicious code or interfere with another visitor

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website is not a consumer reporting agency as the Fair Credit Reporting Act defines that term. Its content and linked results may not be used for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated decision. No consumer report is supplied, and no representation is made that information meets FCRA accuracy or dispute requirements.

5. No Legal Advice

Descriptions of a McLennan County docket, District Court filing, municipal citation, or Texas access rule are not legal advice. A licensed lawyer should be consulted about legal rights, deadlines, strategy, or the effect of a court order.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Courts add filings, reset hearings, seal material, correct entries, and change public procedures. This website is provided as available without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, complete, or current. Search partners also control their own results.

Confirm every important item through the McLennan County Case Search page, the proper clerk, the court itself, or another official source before acting.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to the District Clerk, re:SearchTX, other courts, legal resources, or outside search companies. This website does not control their terms, content, charges, data use, accuracy, or availability. A visitor should review the destination’s policies.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise identified, the website’s text, graphics, logos, and code belong to McLennan County Court Docket or its content partners. They may not be copied, modified, distributed, or used to create derivative material without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent Texas law permits, the website and its operators are not liable for losses arising from use of the site, inability to use it, reliance on its information, or use of a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the website and its operators harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, and related costs arising from that visitor’s misuse of the site or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any legal proceeding related to use of the website must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Texas. Court-record access itself may be governed by Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12; the Texas Public Information Act governs many government records but excludes the judiciary from its ordinary framework.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. An updated version becomes effective when posted on this page.
